It’s time to secure our border!
We are facing the worst border crisis in our nation’s history, and our government’s failure to improve our immigration laws are jeopardizing countless lives.
The Biden administration’s failure to secure our southern border has led to over 7 million migrant encounters since he took office. This is a record, and it’s time for Congress to act.
As Congress considers nonpartisan solutions that will stop the migrant crisis, President Biden is insisting that these critical reforms be held captive in exchange for more Ukraine funding.
I urge you to support the following proposals, and resist efforts to merge them with a Ukraine spending package:
- End executive actions that encourage abuse of our asylum process.
- Restore our ability to quickly identify, detain, and remove unlawful border crossers.
- Increase the pay and staffing levels of the hardworking men and women of Border Patrol.
